# Using Enrollment Periods

*Audience: Administrators and Guides.*

Enrollment periods contain your school's daily session schedule and the students enrolled into those sessions. Periods often act as a timeline, with names such as Fall 2024 or Spring 2025. By default you have one enrollment period. Additional periods are not typically needed; they divide a classroom by time and can cause confusion, so create them only after careful consideration.

Once you have more than one enrollment period, you can switch between them from the selector at the top of the page.

When creating a new enrollment period, you can save time using the Copy Session Information From and Copy Student Enrollment check boxes.
